Echinopsis cactus flowers mid-May to early June 2025
In this post, I showed you photos of 18 echinopsis hybrids that were in flower at the same time (May 8 and May 9, 2025). While that was this year’s megabloom, there has been a lot more flower action since then.
This post is not only a showcase for pretty flowers, it’s also a reference for myself to go back to in future years. If you’re only here for the pictures, simply skip the text.

What a fabulous post, Gerhard! I love all the flowers with the hybridizer history. I wonder if Bob Schick is still around. I don't think he has created any more Echinopsis since 'For Norma' in 2015. I am waiting for mine to open. I wish I were as organized as you are. I post photos on my Facebook page as the flowers open, but that is all.
ReplyDeleteI'm SO impressed with the detailed history. I did laugh at "as of June 2025, my favorite echinopsis hybrid" Perhaps in July you'll change your mind? 'Super Apricot' is one to joyfully stare at, the serration and color variance! You put my organizational skills to shame, if I had any. I'm looking forward to the next post!
ReplyDeleteYour collection was already magnificent but it just gets better and better! You've encourage me to collect some of my own.
