I think they might charge you for the "commercial value" of the tree. Which could be significant for a "real" tree, but in case of a Bradford pear might be zero, LOL.Gerhard Bock (Succulents and More)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17583583634141549759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1615100786320943903.post-3082227251203510572016-12-11T12:20:10.197-08:002016-12-11T12:20:10.197-08:00If I ever have acreage, I'll plant more bamboo...If I ever have acreage, I'll plant more bamboo. Recapturing sp...What fun you're going to have! Recapturing space from less than perfect plants isn't always an easy decision but I've found that the result is generally more than satisfying. I had the tree trimmers in today myself, under an arrangement made 2 months ago to accommodate my tree-hating neighbor up the street - when I informed the arborist that the neighbor has sold her house and will hopefully soon be gone, he gave me a high-five, even though it probably means less business for his tree service. Now I'm shopping for the Metrosideros 'Springfire' I was afraid to put in before. And getting rid of one of those godforsaken pears is such a victory . Maybe some day the city of Davis will see the light and replace the ornamental pear street trees with something decent. I wonder how big a fine one would have to pay if you just y'know cut it down. kshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10847026541797857854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1615100786320943903.post-7817750975810217662016-12-10T16:27:15.862-08:002016-12-10T16:27:15.862-08:00Room to plant stuff!
