What gardener hasn't said that. I wonder if those who garden in tropical regions lament "if we could only be a few degrees cooler!luv2gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09883799040439283011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1615100786320943903.post-49055626349164964962018-11-21T09:58:02.630-08:002018-11-21T09:58:02.630-08:00Beautiful. Of course I think it's brilliant that they also have a succulent demonstration garden with mature plants. There is so much in terms of agave, aloe, cacti etc we can grow here in CA; I'm convinced most CA residents just need a little exposure to the possibilities ... gardens like this are fun and important.hanshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06345461191452355465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1615100786320943903.post-23486336729627395662018-11-18T20:58:31.475-08:002018-11-18T20:58:31.475-08:00San Marcos Growers noted that their Dracaena "...San Marcos Growers noted that their Dracaena "...had foliage damaged but no lasting damage our in our 1990 freeze at 18 °f". We flew into LA one year when the Jacaranda were in bloom and it was an amazing sight, fluffy purple for miles.

I really enjoyed seeing the Agave shots, their ground over status, and bulbils. As for your “if only our winters were a few degrees warmer” if I had a dime for every time I’ve said that!danger gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09227500551609537140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1615100786320943903.post-67786891501845983262018-11-17T10:51:23.097-08:002018-11-17T10:51:23.097-08:00That was serendipity! I attended the festival last year and I don't remember the Jacaranda making that kind of splash - it's odd that it bloomed so spectacularly after the driest winter I can remember. I do recall the feeling of apprehension I had upon seeing that mass of Agave 'Blue Flame', though. My own are creeping but at a comfortably slow pace.Kris Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07097260283693156795noreply@blogger.com
