I can never completely relax on vacation. At some point my mind will inevitably wander to my plants and I'll have to make a call (or two or three) to check on them. This past year though, I've been fortunate that our new family driver seems to have a knack for gardening and has voluntarily been helping out even if it is not in his job description. That's two vacations taken with the lowest mortality rates ever. -- Bom @ plantchaser.comPlant Chaserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07932623233690291133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1615100786320943903.post-8468962407459645882012-08-14T10:52:39.377-07:002012-08-14T10:52:39.377-07:00Yep, we have drip systems in the front and back ya...Yep, we have drip systems in the front and back yard. I bet there are over 1,000 individual emitters by now. What a pain to check them all in the spring, but I'd go nuts if I had to water everything by hand.Gerhard Bock (Succulents and More)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17583583634141549759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1615100786320943903.post-40923523410019637322012-08-14T10:51:28.159-07:002012-08-14T10:51:28.159-07:00Thanks, Loree. In some the blade itself is green with cream-colored stripes in the middle, in others, it's cream blades with green stripes. The width of the blade varies as well. I should do a separate post on miscanthus.

Yep, 104°F today. That's the thing with summer, most plants love the it, others struggle with the bouts of heat in the season (not that we have lots of that were we are). I think your grasses look lovely, and very lush! And the 'Cabaret' looks statuesque and graceful.Mark and Gazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09427245730390252976noreply@blogger.com
