Anyhow, I can’t wait for your in-depth posts on the glorious LA area gardens, and I also have to thank you for this great book review! My copy of The Complete Guide arrived from Amazon today, and it looks fantastic. Going to enjoy diving in for a good read after dinner. I’ve got an even older book by Miles Anderson, from 2000, it was printed in the UK. “The Ultimate Book of Cactus and Succulents” ...but so many new plants since then.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18241604602356561368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1615100786320943903.post-30709772036586566722017-12-27T15:33:25.085-08:002017-12-27T15:33:25.085-08:00And I still don't own a general reference book...And I still don't own a general reference book on succulents -- this looks like a good place to start!Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13048985060349929026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1615100786320943903.post-31789790259620719332017-12-27T15:01:24.916-08:002017-12-27T15:01:24.916-08:00That sounds like a great book! (Just in case we move... )

I know what you mean by the old Sunset and Ortho guides. I agree with what you said, but want to say that not all old books are that bad. For example, the old Time Life Encyclopedia books - I'm reading one on ferns (from 1977) right now. It chock full of good, fun, and interesting information - from historical fads to illustrated propagation know-how. It has already provided answers to some of my many questions. :)Anna Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02353084595743927603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1615100786320943903.post-16862078202450889602017-12-27T10:49:02.008-08:002017-12-27T10:49:02.008-08:00You do the best book reviews! You do the best book reviews!Kris Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07097260283693156795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1615100786320943903.post-9819898173768503882017-12-27T10:39:54.489-08:002017-12-27T10:39:54.489-08:00Looks like a winner!
